History & Background Information:
F.A.S. Delivery (1986) Ltd. is a courier company solely owned by Terry W. Lawrence. In 1990 Terry W. Lawrence purchased F.A.S. from Maureen and Bob Eby of Eby’s Business Service in Comox, British Columbia. At the time of purchase F.A.S. Delivery was a local Courier company serving the needs of local business in the Campbell River and Comox Valley areas. In 1990 F.A.S. Delivery consisted of a staff of one driver and one part time office staff. Clients consisted of about 60 accounts mainly being government contracts serving mail runs between offices and the balance being law firms. In 1990 the courier industry was under the control of the Motor Carrier Commission and to expand at that time meant showing reason for expansion and need. Between 1993 and 1995 F.A.S. Delivery did expand to a point of having 3 licensed vehicles, operating full time serving a growing client list of about 700 in the spring of 1996 application for additional licenses were applied for but were turned down. The F.A.S. name came from “Father and Son”.
Licenses & Insurance:
F.A.S. Delivery (1986) Ltd. currently is a licensed company operating in the aforementioned areas with a joint business license held with the Town of Comox and City of Courtenay B.C. All vehicles hold provincial municipal licenses’. Vehicle insurance held with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, Worksafe B.C., Receiver General of Canada payroll and GST remittance all currently in good standing.
Present Day Information:
Today F.A.S. Delivery is still
owned by Terry W. Lawrence and operating in the Comox Valley and
Campbell River areas. Moving with the economy our client base has
expanded now to just over 800. Today we enjoy a wide range of clients
giving us the stability needed when one sector winds down another picks
up. Our focus is and will be on the “Same Day” market place providing
ON Route, Rush and Charter levels of service to all points.
